It should tell you in the directions.
However, I have seen alot of different brand alarms that didn't. Honestly, it is a 50/50 shot. Most of the time, if the light output wire has a fuse on it (usually a 10 amp inline fuse), it will be a positive output. The cheaper alarms don't have built in reversing polarity relays, so they are negative triggers. And some you can program for positive or negative. The only way to tell is to program the remotes with everything else connected and meter the wire.
If you don't have a meter, connect it to the negative parking light wire, and if the lights don't flash it is a negative trigger. This won't hurt the alarm or the car if you are wrong.
I am not familiar with any brand that uses brown for parking light output, most of the time this wire will be white.
